Call for Abstracts

This is an opportunity for transport research students and post-doctoral researchers to showcase their research. 

​

The format of the 2026 TRANSW Symposium will include Presentation Sessions of research students (MPhil and PhD) and postdoctoral researchers. Themed talks will be organised into parallel sessions throughout the day. Each presentation will be followed by an interactive question and answer session allowing the audience to ask questions, provide feedback and have a discussion. These presentations will be facilitated by Chairs from industry and research institutions.

Additionally, research students and postdoctoral researchers will be able to demonstrate their work through the poster display with time dedicated to Poster Sessions to allow for discussion with attendees of the Symposium.

The day also includes an opening session and a closing session, both with Keynote presentations. A detailed programme with presentations speakers will be published closer to the Symposium date.

Awards

The best presentations in each stream will be awarded ‘2026 TRANSW Best Presentation in Stream’ determined by a panel of academics and industry representatives. ‘2026 TRANSW Best Poster Presentation’ will also be awarded by people’s choice.
