TRANSW
The Transport Research Association for New South Wales (TRANSW) is a multi-institutional society for transportation studies founded in 2018. An amalgamation of transport researchers from the University of Sydney, University of New South Wales (UNSW), University of Technology Sydney (UTS) and University of Wollongong working closely with industry partners such as Transport for New South Wales (TfNSW), the Society aims to foster and support cohesive cross-disciplinary and cross-institutional excellence in transport research and practice. The Society hosts an annual symposium on transport studies in addition to regular seminars and workshops. The Society also produces high quality research outputs from innovative collaboration across institutions. Community engagement is also a top priority for TRANSW with plans to hold a variety of informative open days showcasing the state’s transport infrastructure and current research advances.
ANNUAL SYMPOSIUM
The TRANSW Annual Symposium provides a platform for transport research students, academics, and practitioners to discuss relevant topics in transport an logistics. Research students will have the opportunity to showcase their research and attendees will have the opportunity to meet transport students, academics, and practitioners in an informal setting.
The Symposium is organised each year by one of the four participating universities, with the 2024 Symposium to be organised and sponsored by the University of Sydney. Registration is free of charge for delegates from the four participating organisations.
